Our first purchases for the little ones

I have been putting off buying anything whatsoever for the babies. Maybe I've been a little wary and cautious, disbelieving even, but I didn't want to rush into buying a whole list of items and have something bad happen. Most pregnant women wouldn't worry about such things, but I am not one of them. After numerous setbacks, the possibility of even holding my children in my arms is something I treasure deeply, and maybe even something I can hardly believe is true.

So, after many months, this is what we have got to show.

The hubs bought a (as in one piece) Babyland reusable diaper just to see how it works.

I bought some cute rompers as a gift for the husband's birthday.

Good friend AwwesomePossum gifted us with a gorgeous baby bag that's huge, functional and waterproof! (Thank you soooo much!)

And our first big ticket item - baby cots and mattresses - only because there was a sale with further discounts!

Hi Ally! Have you bought the car seats? Which one did you get in the end?

Hi Ruth, we bought combi coccoro in the end! We thought it was expensive To buy TWO, but managed to get one 2nd Hand off a friend so saved money. Plus, it's one of the few carseats suited for newborns with a small curved back. Many car seats are too big for our car, or too right-angled which is bad for baby's back, or are too ex!

Are you on a baby item buying spree too? :) thanks for reading!

Oh hey! Saw your profile! Yes I posted on your site before :) you bought the seville right? I checked it out but seems it only fits when baby can sit up. :)

Thanks for the info! I only got the Seville car seat when my boy was older, so not sure if it can really be used for newborn or not. When I have my second baby, will go take a look at the combi coccoro :) It's always good to get some secondhand stuff and don't have to spend too much, esp on clothes as babies outgrown them quickly. We wasted quite a bit of money buying clothes and other items which we thought were useful but ended up never using them! Anyway, feel free to drop by my blog again :) Cheers!
