the bad economy seems to have no end

I'm tired. Physically and mentally. I haven't been doing all that much in office but my eyes are strained from reading websites and squinting to thread through small holes on beads. Perhaps it's just that my contacts have worn out. Time to change.

The bad news that comes out everyday seems staggering. Financial markets turn red and green every alternate day, and the Singapore government keeps warning its citizens to be "prepared". Methinks all this is not generating good sales and demand. Propaganda of hope should be injected in the mainstream news to encourage us all to spend. I know that spending isn't the only way to revive an ailing economy but at least we can try.

Office is quiet nowadays. Clients hardly call or email, and the number of soon-to-be-wed couples calling has dropped too. Sometimes they do come by, but they think a lot harder before plonking down their hard-earned money for some well-designed invitations. I hope and pray the year gets better. In the meantime, I will try my best to contribute to businesses...although I must admit I have cut down on my shopping and dining expenditure :P
